Crisis Intervention
The Burleson County Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), is a specialized unit focused on responding to mental health and other crisis situations in the community. Established in 2020 in response to the growing need for dedicated mental health support, the team consists of trained deputies such as Sergeant Randy Jackson and Deputy Lindsey Kindt who handle calls involving emotional, psychological, or everyday crises. Their primary goals include de-escalating encounters, providing immediate professional assistance, and connecting individuals to appropriate social services, medical care, or other resources rather than defaulting to arrest or jail placement.
