At approx. 12:02 PM dispatch received a call from the Cade Lake Subdivision stating that a family member had been shot. The shooter had fled the scene in a black Lincoln navigator still in possession of a firearm. 

At 12:06 a Deputy in route observed a vehicle matching the description and turned around to make contact. Several other units arrived moments later and commands were given with no response from the driver. The officers approached the vehicle and found the driver with a self-inflicted gunshot to the head. The subject was then transported to the Burleson ER and pronounced dead.

The Victim had sustained 2 gunshot wounds. EMS arrived and began CPR and life saving measures. She was transported to Burleson ER where she sadly succumbed to her wounds.

The investigation is still ongoing.
