Stolen Vehicle Arrest

Date: April 6th, 2026

On Sunday April 5th, 2026 at approximately 5:30 PM Burleson County dispatch was transferred a call by Brazos County in reference to a stolen vehicle entering Burleson Co. on SH 21 passing FM 50. The vehicle was being actively tracked by the victim via GPS on personal phone and relayed by local law enforcement. A clear description of the suspect and identity was given and aired to units in Burleson County and local PD. 

At 5:40 PM the vehicle was located at the intersection of SH 21 and SH 36 where an Off Duty Burleson County Patrol Lt., DPS and Caldwell PD units were able to safely work together stopping the vehicle, detaining, and arresting the suspect without incident.  

Cody Doss W/M age 23, was booked into the Burleson County Jail by DPS for Possession of Controlled substance PG-1A <20AU (Specifically LSD). 

Sheriff Rios appreciates the professionalism and coordinated response of all involved agencies, which ensured the safe resolution of this incident.
